black roof

well I'd been kicking the idea around of a two tone S14.. or at least one with a black roof. I managed to sell my buddy and paint guy Jason on the idea so last night at work he painted his roof black ( white zenki) ignore the stripes, he'd had a bout of TF&TF. but the whole car will soon be a championship white with a stock bumper back on it... if Phlip ever pays people. oh and a CF hood OEM style will be added. after seeing his I am *really* tempted to do this but I have NO idea what color I'd want. but I digress... and on with the pics... (which are quick crappy pics taken this morning)

Im good with the camera mang! hehe yeah the black roof more so than the two tone. two tone seems so 90s lowriderish :) but I wanted to see what the roof would look like on a S14. I think it'll look really good when he gets the rest of the crap off there :)

i think that would look nice with a good CF hood, black rearview mirrors and a black spoiler. Have him paint the black further down on the A-pillar, right now it doesn't match the line created by the windshield and the side window.

yeah he's doing the mirrors tonight i think. theres a natural line for the A pillar there thats why it breaks so high.

makes it look shorter, i like the black roof on white, wouldn't work on much else, and certainly wouldn't look right black car white roof... ewww! but go for it

Looks kinda odd, S14s look a lot better in one color. IMO S13 hatches look super sexy with a black roof, due to the fact that the everything between the roof and the doors is black. Someone on Northwest Nissans forum has a red hatch with a black roof, and doesn''t 't JDM RICE have a black roof, or am I thinking of a different red hatch?

and get rid off the white banner, looks tacky with the black roof thing. get a black banner, or even better no banner at all.

For hatches with black roofs, this is the best pic i could find, too lazy to really look for one.

I had no idea about the "afterimage" as you call it. Just noticed for the first time. I was a :newbie: in photoshop when I made this pic. You can also notice that the shadow in the rear hasn't been changed. It seems as if I made the car glow or something, who knows what I was doing.

Dristies - yeah that car is one of the reasons I was originally talking with him about the idea. solid color car with black roof. I loved the look on the S13 hatches and wondered what it'd look like. so Jason did it. now that he has he's putting it all one color. solid chmpionship white.

now with that said... black roof CF hood white car.. match the wheels to the car or the roof?

that orange one is one of the local cars running around here (blew his sr...dork forgot the check the oil pan)hes in a club called aLL sTARS. hes probably the riciest one of all the cars. i personally dont like the look but hey...w/e tickles yur pickle i guess. id advise against it.

I got that same car on my computer when I went to NOPI last year. There were some nice 240's and skyline's there.
