Engine HEat,/ Heat Wraps / Exhaust HEat

hello, i've seen various heatwraps on different websites. i have two questions regarding these, first of all, if i wrap the around my headers, etc. will they really keep the engine bay that much cooler??


and secondly, i have an s14 with a stripped interior, an di also removed the heatshields under teh car between the car body and exhaust. now my drivers side floor gets HOT and all i have there is the OEM floor mats which dont help!! has anyone who stripped their interior had a problkem like this and fixed it? will taping heatwraps help??
