Results of turbo or engine failure.

For those of you who said turbo, you are correct! Ripped off the turbo on Sunday and found that my compressor wheel is shredded down to nothing. The play in the shaft is HUGE! I had previously checked the turbo out and found almost no play at all, so I'm guessing it let out. Oil lines were working and the coolant lines were filled. We flushed the IC out and got all the bits that were hanging out in there. We also cleaned the intake penulum out and got some aluminum shavings out of there. We're just waiting on a compression tester to check if there was engine damage.

well at least its cheaper to replace the turbo over the whole engine. but then again the bit of turbine blade could have scored the cylinder walls or damaged the valves, be sure to check everything out before running it hard again

Yeah we're gonna test everything out beofre re-installing the bits and pieces we took off. The good thing is that the engines idle didn't change and it still revv'd up like always. I'll get the results of the compression test and make a judgement from that.

On the good side I just picked up a T04B/T25 hybrid turbo.
