Just Bought89 240sx Need Advice For Race Setup

WHATS UP EVERYBODY ,I AM A NEW OWNER OF A 89 240SX AND I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH IT INSTANTLY. IWANT TO GET SOME ADVICE OR OPINIONS ON SETTING IT UP FOR TRACK RUNS AND DRIFTING. IVE GOT TONS OF HONDA KNOWLEDGE BUT THIS IS MY 1ST NISSAN ,SO IM BASICALLY LEARNING SLOWLY.ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT :bowdown: P.S HAVE ANNOYING COUSIN RUNNING A RX-7 ,:hammer: HE CONSTANTLY PUTS DOWN MY 240:wtc: NEED ADVICE TO BEAT PANTS OF HIM.THANKS:bowdown:

1st piece of advice: find the caps lock key and hit it again
2nd piece of advice: do some research...if you have questions on how to make your car fast, you shouldnt have too much trouble finding plenty of information using the search button

Try and make it as close as possible to showroom stock, in other words fix all the little things so that the car is still strong. Then run stock for a bit then research on suspension, there are plenty of ways to go, all of us do it differently.

i say get some airbag suspension, supa JDM tyte bling bling
some 22 chrome wheels with 200 spoke rears. rears should be in a 14" with that twirly center cap

power? aah dawg, that's easy. take off your exhaust because stock has waaaay too much back pressure. then remove the y pipe off the intake BAAAAAH holla holla! woot woot! you'll be a smoking

you can get some twirly stuf off ebay for the intak, mini-turbos. sheeeeeeet man, its da biggity bomb yo!

interior? tenzo ownz joo!
get mexicali chain link steering wheel, its all the rave
a nice dope 3 point rope for a harness
and some sick baseball shiftknob. just drill a basebal and screw it on. NICE. you can throw curves the same time you shift from 3rd to 4th!

tires? mexicali SPL baby! woot woot! just tell themto mount it dont balance. you'll be driving so fast DAYYUUUM people will approach your friends and say "damn, that guy is fast!"

neons make it fun too because then the other guy can see HOW SLOW he/she really is

also if you can rig yoru exhaust to shoot flame..cook hotdogs AND smoke the rivals on a nightly basis in the industrial area! woot woot!

my suggestion is learn to drive it. a 240 drives NOTHING like any honda I've ever driven. Don't mod anything till you reach the limits of your hardware.

Grip and Drift are both about the driver, not the car. you can do both in a card board box with wheels if you want. Spend your money learning to drive at auto-x's, track days, and drift events.

also, get over trying to beat your cousins rx-7. rx-7's 0wn J00 for now. deal with it.:fruit:
