I have no actual photos of the lip as we've never made it. I am using a borrowed reference picture so you can see what we're talking about. It is ONLY the lower lip portion.

Production:
-The GB closes on 2/28/10; sometime halfway through the GB, we will see what the numbers look like and will put in a "best guess" order to hiopefully fill the needs for everyone. I like this idea better than waiting until 3/1 to order becuase then we need time to make the mold, get the production and tooling etc. I can shave a few weeks doing this.
-Most parts take 8-12 weeks to make. Like I said, I am going to try and get lips done in advance (#/f/group-buys/298601-s13-ventless-30mm-front-fenders.html#). The timeline would theoretically start 1/31. If you are short on cash now, don't worry. We wont see these lips until April/ May more than likely. You have time to save.
-If you choose to back out, the deposit is non refundable. Once you have paid in full, there is a 25% cancellation fee. Once the fenders arrive, the first person to pay in full gets the fenders first..2nd would be next, etc.

To sign up and take part in the GB, we only require a $10 Deposit.

Duraflex is a made up name to get you to pay twice as much. So yes, this will be a flexible part. No, we will not charge you extra for making up a fancy name for flexible fiberglass...unless, you want to pay extra for the "Superflexmakeyouabetterdrifter Fiberglass."

not particularly. i just think most people were holding out hope. realistically, for myself at least, it was only $10 and i could drive the 2 hours and go complain in person if i really wanted to, so that's why i went in for it. overall, i do think this will eventually get made, just not on the time scale that was advertised. i predict that these will show up around august or september.

i pm'd chaser a few weeks ago. they replied saying that they have been very busy, but they will update the thread very shortly. its now been at least 3 weeks since then. i pm'd again, got no response. i called russ's direct line, no answer. i posted in their thread that was just started yesterday to just be ignored again. this is getting ridiculous. i was thinking about buying some other parts from chaser, but after this, no way. i'm glad i'm only out $10 and didnt get suckered into paying the full amount up front.

Here is our current situation, the previous person in charge of group buys etc.. had intended to get a list of ppl interested then have the lip copied then made in quantities then sold here, from what i gather happened because no one knows what he was thinking, he forgot about the group buy and was planning on quitting so never followed up and now we have a list of ppl who have paid atleast something for a product that we havent even attempted to reproduce yet.

Therefore, we have two options. First, if there is still demand from the ppl on this list and other zilvians i will get a mold made and we can have a lip, realistically speaking the time frame for this is 3-4 months at most. This is an r&d process and it takes awhile for the production. The second option is to forget about type x lips b/c there are already enough copies out there and our price isnt going to be 90 bucks or w/e he promised and give me some ideas for other j-land parts or something you guys want at an affordable price.

So i need anyone still interested in a type x lip to pm me that you are and if you are on the list already i still need you to confirm this, otherwise i need to begin the process of refunding and/or finding a new product we want made that no one has etc.

Where can you get a kouki lip replica for $90??? If so so then I can go buy a couple. Do you even know which lip were talking about because the only company thats makes a replica right now is modiride and crimson is working with jspec to try and get some lips made also but neither are going to be under $100. Hell I don't think they'll be less then $150.

No matter what I'm still down if you can make your copy as good as Crimson's copy is
