Well i have decided to let you all know what i have found. I wanted side skirts but i am poor. I liked the look of the s14 oem skirts on the s13 hatchs but again i am poor. I went to the junkyard to see what i could find. I found that the 95 4 door ford explorer (and any other year in that style) has a very straight side molding so i took it off and sure enough it will work. I cut it to fit, drilled three holes in the seam that runs along the bottom of the car and then used three bolts per side and mounted them up using the existing holes in the molding. I used 3m molding tape to mount to the side of the car. The only problem with these is that they flare in the rear so a heat gun may help to mold it but the gap is quite small. I am picky about how my car looks and this really didn't bother me that much. Here are the pics any question feel free to ask. Just thought that i would help out the poorer people who want options.
This is the exact side molding

My front fender is miss aligned that is why i have the gap in the front

yeah theres alot of parts out there that will fit you just have to mod a lil to make them fit.

i was looking at older camaros or firebird the front fenders have a small lip rolled i feel like molding that on s13 front fenders that be neat

That doesn't look bad at all! Good job.

IMO, it would be better if you found a way to bring it up and over the rocker panel to cover that part instead of just hanging way low under it.

The skirts on the expoler sticks out and when i installed it on the 240, the back lip of the skirt just fit nicely against the seam and it turned it down a little. It does have a little outward angle to it so it is not just straight up and down. I like the flat black look on the aero so it is going to stay flat. I am going to get it painted soon and i think that it is going to stay flat with a clear.

I will get some more pics today when it stops hailing.
There is a seam the runs under the car before the frame rails and i just drilled through that. I believe that it is the bit with the factory jacking points.

if you know how to use fiberglass you could make a template and get it to sit flush in the back. or cut it and adjust it accordingly and then repair it. looks nice:]

I am glad people are getting use out of this. The junkyard by me has about 7 explorers in there with these on them. I don't think there will be a problem finding them as there are a boat load of explorers.

Wow i never would have thought of explorer side skirts, and they actually look pretty good.

My local yard has atleast 15 explorers that have perfectly fine side skirts. Maybe i need to look for some !
