Does the 240sx sensor fit the SR20DET tranny?
Do you recommend buying a new sensor?

Yes they do, just cant remember if the plugs the same. You can always cut the plugs and rewire them to the new sensor if they arent the same plug.
Also, you can try to keep what you have and just add some teflon on the threads to help seal it.
Teflon tape won't help. They leak THROUGH the sensor - you can clearly see it in the pics how the back of the sensor is all wet.
Mine weep a bit... not enough of an issue for me to want to replace them just yet even though it is annoying.

Pipe plug. Done. You don't need any of the switches unless you care to have reverse lights, replace it with a new one, plug the others. A little RTV on the threads and you'll never have to deal with leaks again.

I also had a leak from this sensor, when i pulled the sensor off the trans the wires pulled out of it, so i soldered them back on and got some silicon and sealed it up, also used teflon tape on the threads, it hasnt leaked since...

i used RTV, and it has been 3 months, i don't see any leak now and i'm not expecting any in the future.

You are right, it is leaking through the sensor! I think I might just replace it - about $25-30.
