cluster gauges not lighting up?

hey my 1995 s14 lights decided to crap on me.

turn signals and all the warning lights work.

its just the gauges in the cluster that dont (speedo,tach,gas,temp)


i was wondering what can be the problem?

A fuse, the bulbs burned out.

Simple stuff really.

which fuse is it? i looked at my fuse box on the kick panel and i didnt see anything for instrument lighting

ok i checked all my fuses and replaced the ones that burnt out. my clock works now. it'll only illuminate the clock SOMETIMES and when i turn on the lights it goes out.

goddamn it. imma try to check the bulbs i guess

Are all the dash lights out? Or just the cluster? The dimmer switch can go bad too, it's more common than all the bulbs just going out at once.

how can i check if the dimmer switch is bad?

its funny cause sometimes the clock illuminates but when i turn on the headlights it turns off
