Was it really that bad, regardless of innacuracies and rice. In otherwords was there a good story and any good action scenes or car chases?

There was a green kouki S14 that was somewhat clean (as far as I could tell) I dont even remember seeing that S13, but I missed the few 2 or 3 minutes. The car chase/race scenes were... okay.. but nothing that kept me on the edge of my seat.

In real life... It gets disabled by some gay electronic weapon thing. I think the R34 was poorly respresented.. They converted it to RWD, detuned the hell out of it.. ugh. Not to mention the fact that they use the nitrous purges as a dragon's snort or sorts..
Anyway the Yuki chick is f'ing weird.. her face IS weird.. she only has about 10 or so lines in the movie and her car is ubergay.

Ludacris had about 10-15 minutes of screen time and probably 30 lines...

019: His car may well have been in there, but i don't recall seeing it. I missed the first few minutes, and at the warehouse escape scene, there are so many cars and the cuts are so quick, it's hard to pick out individual cars.

theronin: personally, i'd never take my car to any kind of event like that.. :D I guess i just don't trust the general public.

Is there any reference to fast n furious part one? For example, what happened to vin diesel and his gang? Does it seem like part 1 and 2 even relate or do they feel like two seperate racing stories?

The only mention of the first movie the the fact that they mention how Paul Walker let Vin Diesel go and got in trouble for it, etc. No info on what happened..

in response to how walker got the r34, i believe you can see it on the fast and furious tricked out edition dvd (i haven't seen it, but from what i heard, there's a section on the story after the 1st one up to the 2nd one, also as a bonus, once you buy the dvd, you get a ticket or two to see 2f2f and the movies), so someone here buy it and let us know the story for those who are interested...
just saw the screening, it's entertaining - audience is for the younger crowd that likes flashy stuff...

yeah, and i only remember seeing one blue/green/sparkly s14a at the warehouse scramble scene, there are a whole bunch of cars rice and whatnot, so there is a chance of other 240's in it, you just need a pause button...

I just bought the "Tricked Out" edition and it explains how Paul Walker got the R34. This is the story....


After letting Vin Diesel go, Paul Walker is not a fugutive ex-cop that the LAPD is going after. Once he see his face in the newspaper he decides to hop into a '93ish 3000GT....which is hooked up (not riced out). Anyways....he drives up to Arizona and races some Civic for money...then keeps on moving and racing people for money. Until the cops are closer to him and find his car at some motel. But at the same time this hot chick was keeping an eye on Walker and gives him a left before the cops can catch him at the motel. So this girl drives him over the San Antonio and drops him off at some independent dealership. He looks around and points to a dusty R34 with a C-West aerokit just sitting in the back. I'm like "bullsh*t...no fu*king way he could find that car over there". He gets the car, stops at a paint some and recoats the car sliver. OMG....the R34 was looking BEAUTIFUL...mainly because it didn't have the wing, crazy interior and stickers. I really wish I had that car. So the guy goes and races some Ferrari...beats him and heads for the East Coast. Between New York and Miami..Walker decides to go to Miami. He is driving along a street checking out the girls as they check out his SWEET ride. Then he sees the gold Supra and red RX-7 feature in the upcoming movie. Next thing I know...it says "2 Be Continued".


I didn't give out everything detail...but that's pretty much what happens and explains how he got that car. They labeled this clip "The Turbo-Charged Prelude for 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS".

There was another feature called "Tricking Out a Hot Car!"....and basically Craig Liberman takes a EVO VIII and mods it. Everything was going good until he slapped on the stickers and the crazy sound system. I just liked the way he upgraded the turbo, got a bigger FMIC and add some other turbo goodies.

Dam anyone want the original DVD so i can get the "Tricked out" one?? j/k well i guess thats something nice that they did as a prelude to part 2. Ohh well guess ill just look for it online later :)

You people be surprised. Very Little car talk, most of it didn't sound so GHEY. The even had a acouple ricer jokes. There were small but they are there. I think Tyreese(sp) did a better job then vin diesel. The car chases weren't all that interesting. If you read the latest issue of sport compact you will see just how slow these cars really are. I think this franchise is history if they don't do something amazing by part 3. This movie does have it's points were it drags and makes you wanna leave the theater. All in all it wasn't that bad or but DEFF wasn't that good. If you go see the movie in your "MAD TYTE JDM yo" 240sx is good chance it will still be there.

Bottom line they re-cycled the old movie and didn't bring anything new. I think the directors might off been playing it safe or just plain lazy. Remember guys "IS ONLY A MOVIE so Have fun".

How does Tej played by Ludacris know Brian O'Conell played by Paul Walker? How does he know the ugly faced asian model? What happened to his girl Mia? How did he esacape the cops with no car at the end? You know the r34 would have spanked the supra (in a non ricer world). Tej had a nsx, but did not race the other cars.:rolleyes:
