So last time I drove my s13 a few months ago on the way home from getting a s14 KA swapped into it, I heard what sounded like a bolt plinking around and hitting the ground when I was driving at low speeds. I didn't think much of it and just figured I ran something over.

The next day the car wouldn't start, not even push started.

I got a new project and completely forgot about this, in talking with Bardabe I was checking all the grounds and found this;

So now the real problem is, that grounding wire doesn't fit the bolt currently in there (which does screw in all the way, that's just how I found it).

Kinda stumped... is the s13 KADE harness ground a tad smaller than the s14 KA's?

get a drill bit and open it up a little more...

Before you do anything, let's check to see what that ring terminal goes to.

I can't tell what the hell is going on, but it should go to the engine harness and grounds all of the sensors and ECU. Just check first to make sure.

Looks like the ground for the injector harness.

yeah the ka engine harness has 2 essential grounds, 1 the one in your picture, and 2 the one on the exhaust side on the very back of head, without those properly grounded your ecu won't have the grounds it needs to do it's job.

easy fix

Your assumption is correct, the S14 KA has a larger bolt and threaded hole, so the ring terminal is larger. It's an M10, the S13 is an M8.

Cut that one off and crimp on a larger one, or ground it elsewhere.
