check engine light

I just installed my injen intake on monday and by thursday my check engine light in the dashboard went on and is still on. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions ??

If you started the car with thw MAF sensor unplugged, that could cause it. Also, maybe you knocked a plug loose.

I started the car the same day I instaled it and the light didn't come on. 3 days afterwards it came on

Well maybe the code isn't coming from the intake. Did you check the ECU?

I checked all the plugs they were all connnected. What I don't understand is how come the light lit up 3 days afterwards

you should go get the ecu code pulled, so you know what's might be the problem. autozone can do that for you at no charge.

Could it be the sensor the goes into the air box? I don't think the injen intakes have that fixed in the adapter. Some people have fabbed them to fit. Does it make your car run any different? Reset your ecu and see what happens, maybe.:)

Dude, just check the ECU yourself. Autozone won't do it.(at least that's what I've learned from my experience) It might be some BS code anyway. For instance, my ECU has thrown two codes since I've had the car, both of the codes were for an auto tranny, and my trans. is a 5 spd. thanks for the link thelinja I just checked it the code was 35 EGR temperature sensor
If it doesn't rain tomorrow I'll check it out
