I just put in 6" x 9" Kenwood speakers in my s14, and they sound great. if you have any questions or anything you can ask me, it wasnt too hard, you just need a dremel and a bunch of blades cuz they will break.
we pretty much just cut a hole approximately (sp) 7"x10" in the metal rear deck. then on the carpeted deck cover, we cut out an oval hole using the cardboard template that came with the speakers. then we just mounted it to that cover. it looks soo nice compared to stock, im gonna dynamat it to get a little more solid sound out of it.
one more thing, if you go to home depot, and get a can of great stuff (expanding foam). take off your door panel, and just go crazy with that stuff, and then put it back on your door before it drys. it will expand and make your door solid as ****. its really good sound deadening and it makes your front speakers hit a little tighter too.
