I have a friend with a newer BMW 540i and he is looking to do a little work to it here and there. Just wondering if anyone knows of any good BMW forums that have support for the 5 series.
If you have any post em up! :)

www.bimmerforums.com was always my favorite, there seemed to be a higher level of maturity than most others, but I haven't been to any in a while, so this may have changed. There is also www.dtmpower.net and some others I have forgotten.

Those two mentioned are probably some of the best, and most of the technical guys hang out at one or the other.

DTMPower is my personal fav, love to go there (mainly thier photography and video section), they all like have crazy +4MP cameras and take some really cool pics.
A lot of BMW meets in my area are also set up over there, plenty of info and very helpful people.

Cool, thanks guys.
My friend has an E39? (i think.. newer 540i) and he was thinking of putting the M5 body work on it, or something similar. He just doesnt know what is out there and where to look. I will show him these sites.

there are some rediculously rich people on DTMpower. the people at bimmerforums.com are much more down to earth.

hey bill, dtmpower.net is the far most best BMW forum ive ever went 2, but now since they started charging for members for the forum, it started going downhill a little bit....

ridiculously rich people is right. One guy owns a tricked out m3 and m5. That alone could buy a house!

DTMpower is great. Its awesome how a local Washington DC area club got so big. I'm forever seeing their cars driving around. At my schoolm, GMU, there are always DTM cars in the lots. Most of the videos on the site are on the streets of NoVA or MD. Cool stuff.

GermanTechnik Forums (http://www.germantechnik.com)
Not as professional as other forums, but it's still very young. Caters to most German cars. Created and funded by one chill enthusiast. For people who get tired of Nazi moderators, it's truly freedom of expression.
