More of a trivia question than anything else.
What is the thread pitch of the bolts that go onto the rear bumper where the license plate is on an S13?
I tried just about every bolt that came stock on an S13 and nothing seems to fits. It doesn't look like these bolts are used anywhere else on the car.
I don't have a thread pitch gauge here.
I'm going to retap to a standard pitch any way, but I was just curious. Russ?

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue.
I'm just going to retap it to a standard thread since it's impossible to find the right bolt.

Afraid I cant shed much light on the issue. My front bolts go into clips and my rear holes are rusted with one hole twice as large as the other. my front bolts are m6 and one of my rears is m6 and the other rear is tiny so I dont know exactly what is going on.

I bought the plain black plastic frame for 3 bucks each. The Nascar frame is too tacky for me.

I was just curious.
I just put a bolt through the hole and hold the other side with a nut. I have to take the bumper off of the car to change license plates. It won't stop them but it will slow them down.

what about welding on two nuts onto the bumper core support where the rusty ass original license plate holes are.. thats what im probably going to do

What I usually do,say I want to change the pitch I just use a tap and re-thread it with same size hole but different pitch... Make sure u use cutting oil it works wonders. Why not use a 6 point star bolt. No one carries that type of sockets. It's the same style bolt as when taking off the air bag from the side of the steering wheel
