Hello.
Can anyone on here please confirm if the bearing that came with my Exedy OEM replacement clutch kit is in fact the correct one for a KA transmission?
The one on the left is the old throwout bearing that I just removed, and the one on the right is the new one that I am asking about.

The old bearing is from a Daikin/Exedy OEM replacement clutch kit that I bought a few years ago. They might have probably changed their design since then, however, I would just like to be sure that it is the correct bearing.
The old one is a classic bearing that spins around the center, while on the new one only the part that sticks out spins. I think it is pretty cool, but what bugs me is that it is about 5mm wider than the old one, as you can see in the following picture.

Is 5mm acceptable? I am assuming it will make the clutch engage earlier, which does not bother me, but I have no idea how much room there is, and I definitely would not want it to cause the clutch to always be slightly engaged.
Unless of course the new pressure plate design is 5mm narrower and made to be used with this bearing, which would make sense, although I always assumed all the pressure plates and throwout bearings were made to universal specifications and could be interchanged, even between brands.
I might be worrying over nothing and this might be a really dumb thread, but I would rather be certain it is the correct bearing than be sorry later. The part number on the bearing is BRG810.
Thanks for any information!
