I know this is a z/s chassis forum but the rx7 forum is no help. they are extremely biased its either OEM or super expensive aftermarket systems. so i have come back here and get some help.
i recently changed the fuel filter on my s13 with a z32 fuel filter. the filter is cheap and easily accessible so i figured i get one for my rx7. barely anyone carries rx7 fuel filters locally and they are expensive when they are available. i figured i would ask here since some are probably running a z32 fuel filter on their race cars.
i'm running rewired supra tt fuel pump and 550cc/1300cc injectors. does anyone know if the z32 fuel filter can provide enough flow?

whats wrong with the supra TT? shouldn't that deliver just as much flow
edit: i didn't read correctly
z32 should be more than adequate

I don't see why the fuel filter WOULDN'T work if the connections are just rubber hoses affixed with hose clamps.

i haven't bought a z32 filter yet i was just wondering if it would be a comparable or better replacement to the stock fd fuel filter. if the fd filter wasnt so expensive and hard to come by, this wouldnt be a problem. but i have heard 240sx's running 600rwhp with z32 fuel filters on their mod list so i figured id ask here first. also the fuel lines are the same sizes.

Just go out and buy a z32 fuel filter and test fit it. As long as it has rubber hoses and clams it should work. Sorry I can't be much of more help. But yeah, thats the only way I can see it working by testing it.

its just a filter, i don't see how MUCH it can affect the flow rate
i dont think you have anything to worry about if you make it work

If the nipples don't work, you can weld on new nipples.
Otherwise I don't see why not.

just make sure to weld it BEFORE it gets introduced to fuel.
sorry if this seems obvious, but i feel it should be said anyways.

well since people are saying it should work. what about if it was an LS1?

u use the vette filter (it is a FPR as well), a $45 part from napa
get rid of the anything else
it goes like :
tank -> fuel sock -> fuel pump -> vette filter -> fuel rails
simple as that

You shouldn't be putting any fuel pressure through the filter until the fuel lines are securely clamped any way.
I'm not surprised by what people do any more. Sad.
