hey guys, jus tryna c if this fact is true...ive herd engine oil can prevent rest from spreading or atleast slow up the process....is this true?

Im sure it prevents rust but if there is already rust it prob does not stop it.

anything that prevent exposure to oxygen stops rust.
but it sounds like there a bigger problems afoot.

Engine oil wont, but Bar&chain oil will. But you need to keep a fresh supply. Bar and Chain oil is loaded with phosphates. Add some zink to that and thin it down with some machine oil so you can get into the seams.
But of course sometimes this could worsen the issue. I used bar and chain oil on the rear end of my 240, it helped, but did nothing for underneath the car.
