Stock bottom end with new bearings and arp rod bolts. new headgasket with arp head studs. Springs, retainers and valves by BC. GT3071R turbo mid mount intercooler setup along with Nis-Tune for management. 550cc injectors maybe 750s!

My question would be if anyone has had experience with mild built SR engines with BC Cams Stage 3. is it a good choice? or would a Stage 2 be a much better option? (with the setup i mentioned above).

No, its really personal prefrence. you will make more power with the BC 272 but if you want the powerband to come in fast get 264's.

what he posted is accurate, but you can use 272's with that turbo.

A 264 camshaft profile is perfect for spooling with increased redline and efficiency.
However,
My good friends car runs the 272/272 setup on a 2871. It's laggy, but once turbo efficiency is reached, it pulls hard to 8,000 rpm.

For your setup the 272 cam set will be perfect. You are using a 3071 which will spool almost 500 rpm faster than the 2871. You will have great success with that setup. If you want ever faster power the 264 is your best bet.

Good luck.

It doen't seem that this statement would be correct. If it's not a twinscoll setup then how could a t3 turbo spool faster then a t2 turbo? If that was the case i would think everyone would be running a T3 top mount.

But i don't have a t3 so i guess idk for sure.

Word of Advice: Dont even consider running anything smaller than 740cc injectors with a 3071. Better yet, run SARD 850s.

Also, dont run this turbo on a T2 flanged bottom mount setup...too restrictive, need to go T3 flanged top mount or Synapsis top mount.

t3 .63 2871r spools just as fast or maybe faster than the t2 .64 2871r due to the restriction with the flange. if thats the case then the t2 3071r would outspool the t3 3071r which wont happen, and people choose to stick with the t2 because it eliminates the hassel of getting a custom down pipe and hot pipe. and t2 is more cost friendly.

3071r with T3 flange is a must. or if u pick T2 it need to be externally gated.
