my car sadly just ran outta power??

ok so one day i turned on my car to warm it and all of a sudden my car was idleing low and my engine was shakin i was like wtf????? so i took it for a drive and it was like giving a lil backfire sputtering thing (i think) so when i drive it, it drives fine n all but it has no power it idles low like around 600, and wen i turn on my lites it idles lower around 500 wen i drive and i cum to a stop my car idles low around 200 it shuts off, from time to time,.... idk whats wrong it feels like sumthings clogin it FEELS like it but idk i got no hose leaks changed spark plugs , cap n rotor r fine, my batterys fine and my alternater is fine, i have no leaks, i have a resonator goin to a straight pipe to a muffler i think i dont have no exhast leaks, and idk whats the problem...so basically my problem is my car doesnt have power goin to the engine, car has low idle and when i turn my lights on the idle goes lower idk what the problem is do you guys have any idea or suggestions ???? thanks

there has to be a short somwhere or a huge parasidic draw stealing power from your car. check voltage car off and car running. should be liike high 13 to 14v. sounds like alternator to me.

check your injectors? i had an injector go out and i lost power and it sounded like a suby lol

MAF Is probably toast, I don't think it's your alternator I just replaced mine on my old KA before i sold it because my headlamps kept dimming as I'd drive, I didn't have a loss of power though nor did I have a huge irregularity in RPM at idle... Could be fuel delivery as mentioned already. Your symptoms definetly sound MAF related though.

If it was your alternator then the car would run fine until the battery died. Im guessing maf. Find someone who would be willing to trade to confirm, or just buy a new one.

SaME THING hAPPEND With My friends Toyota 4runner..ToDay!!
odometer wasent working ..loss of power ..dimming lights...also gave an impression as if the engine was clogged ..
so we stop at the gas station and decided to REV the sH*t out of it and that fixed it..
haha >..

we thought it was the MAF but i wasent..
guessing the was an excess of fuel in the engine drowning it

im having the same problem with my car..... i checked maf and all that stuff, but its still acting funny. rpms drop and sounds like the car is suffocating.
