Hey,

So I'm going in fifth gear under full boost and let go of the throttle. Oh crap, the blow off valve makes a different noise than usual. Turn the corner, start accelerating in second gear and all I'm hearing is this sound as if the blow off valve is blowing off all the charged air! So I check all of the intercooler piping and notice no holes. Now my next question is this; Has anyone had any problems with blowing the diaphram in the HKS Super Sequential BOV? I swear that's the problem! Maybe somthing else?

Thanks,

lodder

Search for "boost leak" from username "civickilla240style". There is a link to a DIY IC piping leak tester.

Some may not agree but I do know, for a while, HKS BOV's, the one in particular that you're asking about, were garbage. Either the diaphragm or the unit as a whole would just up and stop working. They would work for a little while and just crap out. It may be the BOV itself, something to consider.

You are thinking of the SQV (the one that I have) not the SSQV the one he has. The SQV is made of plastic and under high heat and high boost they have been know to fail but they are repairable. I have never heard of the SSQV failing. It's a pretty da_mn good design
