Its been discussed alot, I went with ichiba fronts with oem bearing pressed into them. No problems at all.

I had problems with the damn studs stripping out on the ichibas. even after I had some nismo extended studs pressed in and to others that are going to say I over torqued them... I didnt. cheaper usually to find front s14 hubs w/spindals any way but you can take j30 fronts and have them machined to fit s13 4 lug hub oem bearings.

oem > ichiba

I got the fronts off nissan ebay dealer for $250 brand new. rears off a 300zx NA are cheap

OEM is great quality, ive been running ICHIBAs on my s13 for awhile with no problems. The only problems ive heard of is wheel bearings failing, in that case id put oem bearings in and skabam! PLOW! SKEEBANG! Superior quality!

I am insane so im going to be changing the studs at some point too.

i have had ichiba on both of my s13s, no problems.
i believe with the ichiba one could use oem bearings as replacement.

Peak Performance(new purchased a couple of years ago) fronts. New Z32 rears. Oh wait can you even get Peak Performance fronts anymore?

Ichiba's are garbage in my opinion. Better off with OEM.

Ichiba bearings are known to be shitty. Far from being great. They have been known to go bad frequently. It's best to press in OEM bearings. Of course there are always exceptions and many folk have had good experiences with Ichiba.

Only aftermarket brand I recommend is Attain. Other than that there is no reason to not go OEM.

i recommend oem. ichiba bearings arn't the best, they usually go out after a while.

listen to these guys there right! one of my ichibas had a bad bearing right off the bat its was like a tick and when you brake was like a thud so if you can go oem. looking at both the ichibas and oem definitely has the better quality.

I managed to get Ichiba hubs with new OEM bearings pressed in.

Ichiba's are extremely shitting. If I had gotten them with Ichiba bearings, I wouldn't have kept them.

Bearings falling apart out of the box, bearings failing within weeks/months, etc.

With an S14 and having the OEM direct bolt on availability, I don't see why there's a need to even decide.

OEM hands down.

Now with S13's, I'd still recommend OEM rears(Z32's are easily obtainable on here for less than $100) and S14 front 5-lug(LCA, Spindle, and Hubs). It can get costly if you purchase these parts new, but having peace of mind is worth every penny.

Save up and do it right the first time.

There's no need to spend about $400 on shitty Ichiba's, then having to spend another $200+ replacing the bearings later on down the road.

OEM > anything else.

Think of it this way, most S13's are about 20 years old at this point. Every single one I've owned has had OEM bearings.

Would you rather have bearings you know for a fact will last you for years to come, or be worried about when the shitty bearing will finally say "fuck you" and leave you stranded on the side of the road?

Wait...how are you guys getting ahold of OEM front bearings? I always thought that Nissan only sells the Hub and bearings as a single unit. Well, atleast they did when I had to replace my fronts 6 yrs ago.

They're talking S13, since the bearings are replaceable. S14s are not.

Funny how it's only vaguely mentioned in this thread but for an S13 you WILL need the S14 spindle and ball joint too if you go OEM, meaning an S14 hub.

on FRONT s14 hubs can i replace the bearings with s13 oem ones and keep my stock s13 spindle?

No. Read it again. S14 front wheel bearings are NOT replaceable. Period. They're not just pressed in and held with snap rings like other models, they are machined in.

Oh my bad. Another newb question. On the FRONT s14 hubs they use a 32mm locking nut and on the FRONT s13 hubs they use a 30mm lock nut.

Can I put the s14 hub on the s13 spindle and then just use the 30mm lock nut? Because throughout my research on 5 lug swaps, the lock nut and the s13 bearings being replaceable are the only differences I have found. Enlighten me if I am wrong. Please.

Also I understand that s14 front hub bearings are not replaceable, but why does napa sell front wheel bearings for 95-98 s14s?

We've discussed all this for well over a decade, why are you asking such basic, remedial shit?

The spindle is different too. You cannot use an S14 hub on an S13 spindle. Yes, it does fit, but the diameter is not the same (close) and the flange for the washer is different.

NAPA may very well carry S14 front wheel bearings, if it's the entire hub. If it's not, they're incorrect. We've also discussed nearly every week how auto parts suppliers crossover their application charts wrong or mislabel parts. You'll probably find some places that will sell an S13 front lower control arm for an S14, sure it fits but it's 10mm shorter.

The truth remains with OE parts. If they do not cross over, aftermarket replacements for those same parts do not either.

Alright. I was asking because I have searched and couldnt find any answers that pertained to those questions but thanks for answering my question.
