Well, I got my front lip in the mail last week for my 92 FB and after doing all the prep work on the lip and my front bumper, I took it for a ride. Only to grind off the underside while pullin outta the drive way, not to mention scatching it up during normal driving. I'm running a 1.5-2" drop on KYB AGX's, on stock wheels. Just thought I'd show everyone thats thinking about getting this style of front lip how low it actually sits and to be more careful until you get used you car sittin that low. Heres some pix of me pullin out of the driveway.

Here's how it sits on flat ground...

BTW, if anyone else has a front lip like this, could you post some comparison pix?

Stop Whining!!! that's not even that low. My front is nearly touching the ground even not at those angled pics like yours. Just drive carefully and no car will ever stay *bling bling Show quality. if that's your thing!

but your car has to sit that low, its a snow plow! ;)

but seriously tho, its not that low, i've seen worse. you just have to realize that your lip is gonna scrape, and not care too much about it,

do take steps to strap it on securely, it'll fall off in no time.

Wtf? I wasnt whining man, just trying to show people how that lip sits if you have a lowered xar. If I would have seen a post like this before I ordered my lip I might have thought twice about it.

you have to get down the technique of going up and down drive ways. You'll scrape from time to time over unfamiliar roads that have surprises, but you can keep it from scraping in and out of your driveway by going up forwards at an angle and backing down slowly - at an angle as well.

yea thats not low. u should see my brothers GSR..now Thats low.

is the PDM lip a knock off of bomex or something?

EDIT: i think the lip would look better if u had the daytime lights like on the black pdm one has. looks more filled w/o it too many holes.

note the mismatched lug pattern :p

just go sideways up down driveways and wathc out where you go
its better to go OEM for stuff that low. i'd break that PDM bumper in a day...few hours actually.
my 89/90 lip takes a beating. that's why its missing paint.

i have an 89/90 SE lip on my 93 just like dousan. it's so low that the lip actually 'rolls' under the bumper when going over large speed bumps and/or drive ways. the pdm lip (yes, it's a copy of bomex), does stick out a lot further than an SE lip, and considering that it's fiberglass, i don't think it would be very practical at all. i've seen some people cut off the lower portions of the lip, making it shorter and a bit higher, so i guess that'd be my advice. i know it's a ghetto fix, but think about how your car would look when you crack that baby into three pieces. anywho, 92s13, thanks for the heads up! but, as with any product, research should've been done prior to the purchase. if you do take your car to the track, consider mounting it with zip ties. that way it has a chance of breaking away from the car rather than getting smashed into little itty bitty pieces. watch some option vids and you'll know what i'm talking about.

good luck!

my car is just as low as yours... i can barely fit my foot under it... you just got to know what streets to not drive down and also you've got to go a little sideways. you know one tire at a time.

good luck and fasten it cause roadkill sucks A$$ (thats my second fornt).

no its definately a bomex copy. A lot of people hate how low it sits, I remeber seeing some pics of hurleybois car, he has scraped his a bit. Thats why the eatsbar lip is better, it sits higher.

All the 89-90 lips have taken a beating, I have yet to see one w/o scrapes (that hasn't been repainted). And this is for stock hieght cars
