i relocated the fuse box under the dash on my 97 s14. the battery is in the trunk and the wire running to it is a 2 gauge and has an inline 80 amp fuse a few inches from the positive battery terminal. everything worked great and now i am cranking the engine without spark to prime the turbo.

after cranking for about 10-15 seconds, the inline fuse on the battery cable blows. im not sure why this is happening?

also, the gauge cluster lights no longer light up and the radio just stopped working. everything else(blinkers, headlights, blower motor, power windows, etc) work just like before, and i have checked every single fuse and none of them are blown.

im not sure what's going on here, any help is appreciated
thanks

Your starter is demanding more than 80 amps... If it's cold a bit, starter can easily draw over 100 amps...

I've got a 150 amps breaker with gauge 0 wire in the trunk, and I only using my car in the summer...

alright well you were right, thanks for the help. i got a 150 amp breaker in there and have no issues with cranking now. my other problem though, is that the running lights do not work at all. the gauge cluster lights and the exterior lights do nothing when the switch is turned on. also, the radio does not turn on. it stopped working sometime in the process of me cranking. i have checked every fuse including the mini fuse on the back of the radio and none are blown. could this be a relay problem?
thanks

any advice regarding my issue? everything worked fine and then the running lights(interior dash lighting too) stopped working. then, when in the process of cranking my car, the radio stopped working too. everything else still works, and none of the fuses are blown. someone please give me something to go off of, i have the dash out right now and want to fix this asap
