I got the complete front/rear 300zx brake setup , I would definately need a 300zx master cylinder right? When i search on like www.car-parts.com , i would have to search for "master cylinder" right?

no, you don't need it. as a matter of fact, more people DON'T use the z32 MC than do.

It's a good idea, if you're swapping front AND rear, to match with the appropriate Z32 M/C. Then you basically have a stock Z32 brake system.
For just swapping fronts a Z32 M/C is probably actually TOO big. For comparison, the S14 Silvia, which had the same fronts as a Z32 with the same rears as an S14 240SX, had a M/C the same size as a 240SX with ABS.
IMO you would need it. You have 12 pistons working with the 300ZX Brakes F&R, the 240 has 4 total F&R. The little 240 MC will have some huge problems keeping the pedal feeling effective.
IIRC you need a pre 92 before M.C. 300ZX Master Cylinder in order for it to fit, and even with that you will still need to bend lines to make it work.
Also, you will need ProjectSilvia.com Rear brake line kit, or you can try to jerry rig it yourself.

Tis most true...
Master Cylinder Upgrade
I feel that the most important part of the swap is upgrading the Master Cylinder. The pedal feel on the 240 is weak with the stock brakes, but feels even worse with 12 pistons worth of brakes. In order to do the swap, all you will need is the master cylinder from a 300ZX. The proportioning between a turbo 300ZX and NA 300ZX is the same. If there is any concern, make sure to pick up the master cylinder that works with the calipers you are using. The brake booster is not necessary.

that doesnt mean that they are right... i drove my car with my 26mm's without the mc swap and it was scary how soft the pedal felt... i then upgraded to the 1in mc and it changed everything! response is better, feel is improved! why would you go through the hastle of putting big brakes on your car if you arent gonna be able to feel it in the pedal? If you really want to Asad over at fresh alloy did a mathematical breakdown of the proportioning in the master cylinders and it came out to a very minute difference!
If you want a soft brake pedal than by all means dont upgrade the mc... if you like a break pedal that is rock solid, and very responsive get the master cylinder... its up to you! Shift_Stop
