Well, I have some great news! My 92 coupe's automatic seatbelt was not moving when opening and shutting the door. So I called up Nissan and the person I talked to actually mentioned the possible lifetime warranty and would need to bring it in to see if it would be covered or not. I went and after they diagnosed that the unit was indeed not working, they told me that I will be getting the LAST Module in the US and after mine, they will not have anymore. So I have to wait until the part comes in next week and they will be doing some warranty work!

Just thought I would let ya know that I will have the last one. Maybe they could get it from Japan or something instead of them not making one entirely.

It doesn't matter if that's the last one they have in stock. They have to honour the lifetime warranty. Nissan has to make more at any cost.

Why did you feel the need to post this?

life time of the car to the manufacture is much different than what you are thinking of.

For the same reason you made your comment. I felt like participating. :hyper: If it was not going to be warrantied for any reason, I would have had to spend 500 dollars and I def. was not going to do that.

Lifetime of the car to me means as long as it is driveable, that part is warrantied.

I don't know what you're talking about, but I think you have it backward.

The time period going forward from the date of the recall doesn't matter. The date going backward from the date of the recall to when the vehicle was purchased new is what matters.

From the day your car was sold as new to the day when the recall is issued, as long as this period is less than 10 years, you're covered forever.

No, I participated to sort out bad info from good info. I do not want to participate, but if the info is wrong, I have to participate.

If it was not going to be warrantied for any reason, I would have had to spend 500 dollars and I def. was not going to do that

And why did you feel you need to tell the world about your experience?

That's actually correct. Think about it. The dealer's job is turn away as much free work as possible. Your goal is to get what you deserve.

Don't stop fighting until you get what you rightfully deserve.

Bad info? My first post is what happened...How is that bad info? Or are you referring to the other poster?

Not the world. Just a small forum. I guess I could have talked about pouring transmission fluid in the oil.

I did not have a hard time at all. Even with a gauge cluster not working and a RB20 swap.

This may be correct, but it has no probative value. Why do we care if it's the last one? You need to fight for your warranty regardless if they have one or not.

Since the automatic seatbelts was available only on the US car, I'm not sure why Nissan Japan would be stocking this part, but okay.

This may be true, but they still have to fix safety items. I already discussed this above.

I don't care about sharing irrelevant info at all. I care about sharing bad info. Some other people will start thinking it's truth unless someone steps in.
