well, as far as 1/10th scale R/C's go, there used to be this japanese company called 'zero-one' that made 180sx and sileighty R/C bodies, but that was quite a while back and they are now impossible to find. other than that, i've never seen any other 240sx (or similar) bodies. the next closest thing would probably be the s15 silvia body made by HPI, still in production and avaliable at your local hobby store.

umm i beg to differ...there are still some avaliable..just not that easy to get. ABC hobby makes and does a pretty good job too.I have an ae86 body as well as a sileighty waiting to be painted..they have a silvia and 180sx as well..plus some s14..oh well since i just looked at the page they are also called zero-one..but they are still made..I also see some on ebay evrey once in a while. the only thing i can suggest is to get a radio control car mag and call some of the places in cali to see if they can get you one...or go to hpiracing.com and get the link for the various rc forums and search there. I special ordered mine from a place in japan that sells model kits and stuff to the us with no mark up. www.hlj.com

and here is the website.. www.abchobby.com

click on the thumbnails in the center of the page..the links to the left are all broken

hope this helps

mad s13, you're a life saver! i've been looking for a source for that stuff for literally years! thanks for the correction and the links. just curious, how much did you end up paying per body? how long did you have to wait? i'd like to pick up a few... thanks!

danny,

well it took about a year..but that was my fault..I asked hobby link japan to see if they could get them...then I get an email in a few days and they say they have them in stock and waiting for my payment(doh!) so it took me a while to have 100 bucks that I didn't need to spend on bills. Once i paid for them, i believe i had them in about 2-3 weeks..can't remeber since its been about a year since i got them, they were i think about 96 dollars for 2 shipped. kinda pricey i know, but these are quality molds(similar to the multi part molds tamiya uses on their rc bodies. plus they are a nice width and a 190 mm car fits under them nicely(not like some newer bodies that seem more like 200mm when advertised as 190)

I'll see if I can get some pics of the sileighty tonight sitting on top of my oldie rs4 pro.
