calling all guys with ssr rims

okay i give up..
after 3 days of searching for new valve stem and seal for my ssr hiros here in town.. i cant find any!!
now im stressed out

where did you guys get your spare valve stem for your ssr's??
i only need one more valve stem for my ssr and im good to go
but finding one is a mess.. aarrghh
mine looks like this

Dude, those are just simple rubber o-rings that get compressed. Over time they dry out and leak.. They are REALLY easy to replace with the tires off.

i still cant find a valve stem for my volk. it cracked in half when they were changing the o-ring. its a lot smaller than any other valve stem ive seen, and havnt been able to find one.

I replaced all the metal stems on my gab's with the traditional rubber ones. Easier to replace, lower maintenance, blah blah.

Doesn't look as nice but anyone who thinks my wheels suck cause they have rubber stems is pretty lame anyways.

yes i know.. i tried fixing it last weekend with a regular o-ring and its too big, i put it on anyways and it still leaks
i need a smaller one
i never knew finding this small o-ring would be a lot of hassle
its been 3 days and it felt like a month :mad:

tried that too.. put a traditional rubber stems and it wont fit
the hole on the wheel is too small

mine too. i got my o rings from a hardware store. look in the plumbing (sp?) section. they work fine.

ahh i was just about to go there right now..
what size did you get?

i dont remember the size, but i had the broken stem with me to test.

i got the 0-rings.. i ended up getting 2 sizes.. just in case..

okay i got the driver side valve stem fixed with a custom rubber o-ring.
and now.. i found out that my front passenger side valve stem is leaking too (very little leak, 5psi/week) and im mad!! :mad:
oh well.. back to discount tire for me tommorrow
btw.. discount tire has a very good service! two thumbs up:)

16x7 +27 fronts
16x8 +30 rears

tires, fm901
205/55 fronts
225/50 rears
