hey my name is Sterling im 20 i live in New Braunfels TEXAS, i thought i would make a build thread for my 1993 240sx coupe 5 speed ka24de-t i got the car in febuary this year. i do all the work myself and its all my money that goes into it. ill post some pics and include some info on what i have done. let me know what you al think.

thanks, i dont think its a stock color it has some metalic in it...
im going to be looking for some 18x11 and 18x12 negative offsets in a couple of weeks. here is a list of what i used in my turbo kit : jdm sport turbo kit t25,exhaust manifold,fmic w/pipes, 3"elbow, 3"down pipe, gutted cat, 3" isis straight dual exhaust need to reweld it to stick out farther, efi specialists ecu, sr 370 injectors, stock maf, jgs oil line kit, aem wideband, glowshift boost and water temp sensor, 9psi,i lost compression on my 4th cylinder back in september im going to rebuild my engine after i finish with the body work paint and rims.

you're doing it wrong, you're not supposed to buy fender before you buy wheels... you get wheels and then get the right sized fenders to match.

haha, it looks like your car is flying. sorry, couldn't help it. i think it would have been a good idea to get the wheels first also, but whatever, you can do it how you want. i'm definetely not a fan of shaving factory body lines, in any application, (but you should do the bottom one, since your kit doesn't follow it), that's just my personal opinion. Imo, it would look sort of, umm, naked maybe, without the belt line, but it's whatevers. Anyways, keep it up, and don't get discouraged, (it's only critisism). It's gonna look sick when your all done.

i pulled out my motor yesterday by myself only took me about 20 min once i got the chains hooked up. i have a good motor that i need to put my intake mani and my oil pan on. should have that done by the end of the week. i think im going to paint my engine bay before i put the motor back in so it might be a couple of weeks before it goes back in. here are some pics

not really, i sold my shell just need to sell some gab coilovers and some 15" rims and i will be closer to buying a set of rims, i bought some spray guns im going to spray the engine bay before i put the motor in. i should have some more pics within a month hopefully with flush wheels and paint...

i did a little work on the car since i posted last. i took out the engine harness and the front chassis harness (not easy) haha. started cleaning the bay up trying to take everything out of the bay so i get a nice paint job. i started taking apart my old motor a little, my ebay t25 turbo that only has 700 miles has bad shaft play and oil in the exhaust housing so i guess this is why my car was smoking so much.. !WILL NOT BUY EBAY TURBO AGAIN! on the bright side i have a good s14 t28 turbo to use. i found some rims but i still do not have enough cash for them but i will soon! i should have the engine bay painted within a few weeks. i cant find the usb cord for my camera so these are phone pics of what my engine bay looks like right now its not done yet...

maybe you can look for a size a bit smaller and run an adjustable spacer to perfectly tuck the rim

wow! i have never seen thaat yellow bn sport silvia ever! haha i dont know if i should pass the wheels up its such a good price 1500 shipped.... i think with these wheels the fitment will be like the front of the white car posted on the top of the page front and back...

i think the fitment in the rear should look something like this with the vienna's. front will be flush without camber.

Still about the same place I got the wheels on. Bought a dmax carbon hood. Trying to finish the body work right now.I ordered a set of fortune autos for it recently they should be here in about 2 weeks.I smashed my front bumper about 2 weeks ago and just finished fixing it so that needs to be resprayed again.haha.... I should have the whole car painted within a month just have had a lot of stuff going on right now. I just moved out to the country back in October. I'm not building a hatchbak. I bought a 89 auto coupe with a very straight body that had a knocking Sohc ka24e and I just finished rebuilding the engine. Just waiting about another week till some parts come back from the Chrome shop then I will be dropping the engine back in.I'm looking for some cheaper 17's to throw on it and I'm going to put my old jic's on the car when my new fortune autos come in about 2 weeks. The Sohc auto is going to be a daily for awhile then I might sell it after i put about 10k miles on the rebuilt engine.

Swapped the oem fuel Lines from pass. frame rail to the drivers. I also drilled and tapped a few holes to use oem brackets and hardware.

I run the 300zx brakes all around with the 350Z track rotor upgrade and the 15/16th BMC and the brakes bite hard, also using hawk HPS pads though.

Long day chasing parts went to san antonio Toyota and austin Toyota dealers today to get some parts I needed.

DIY fuse box relocation took me about ...Ehh. 10 minutes max and anyone can do it!

Ok for real though I started the fuse box relo job today and there is a reason you see no write ups on it. I'm doing one wire at a time right now I'm almost done with shortening the length between the fuse boxes. I should be finished with this tomorrow if I get some time to work on it.

Small update. Went alittle crazy with my budget and bought a racepak iq3 display. I still need to buy a usm for it and a few sensors. I'm going to start mounting up the ic pipes when some couplers show up this week. Il keep you guys updated I should be cruising this soon!

No pics today just thought i would update. Got the driveshaft on wed and installed it, fit all nice like. I went to test my turn signals after the fuse box relo. They were not working right I beat myself up thinking what it could be while i worked all day thursday. When i got off work I decided to trouble shoot from the basics. I go to check the fuses and they are all fine but i noticed I never tightened the center bolt down for the fuse box harness -_- ... Ok so thats done. I'm going to buy some 240sx harness pigtails so nothing is hardwired and can be removed easily if its needed, Il be starting on that this weekend along with double checking what i have done so far. Il have some actual pics for you guys on monday.

I got my hood to close, I was a little suprised to see that I could actually lock the pins without cutting the hood. Yay
I also straighten the engine out I noticed it had a little lean, its centered now.

Got the rear end on the ground tonight but forgot to shave down the inner lips for the flares. Il get that done tomorrow and start on the racepak settings. I also need to repair a fender. Il be cruising this real soon.

She got there on her own power! I had to go buy a 300zx tt rad cap since the stock ka is only a 13 psi and the jz has a 16 psi system. I need to pull off the back wheels again I didn't cut high enough on the quarters and they are sitting on the tires.

Cruised out to the local 1/4 mile san antonio raceway on Friday night was hitting boost cut and rolling off the line (bad axles lol) got a 13.9 at 108 and I was in 4th crossing the line...haha

Finally made it home from houston. It took about 3 hours to get back

fixed all the broken fiberglass and painted it again. Ditched the blue pearl. I went with avalanche white with silver and gold pearls this time.

I got one of the advans mounted I think it looks badass for a smaller tire. Going to work on the wheels tonight or tomorrow night and il have my wheels waiting for my car. Hope to take it in sometime this week to get worked on.

Yeah! Got the new lips all done. Knocked off and put one of my faces off center -_- so I had to pull it out and center it. Not too bad since the barrels stayed together!

I dropped my car off at the frame shop today. My car should be ready for me to pick up by Thursday. They told me right off the bat my rear subframe is bent and needs to be replaced. They also want me to take In a good condition tension rod bracket. My front is pushed over 1/4" to the left they say it will be easy. So im pretty excited to get it back

I picked my car up today. Frame is straight now I just need to replace my subframe and get a alignment done asap. It cost $850 total. It looks like tubs are now necessary.

Well I figured out why my alignment was off on my front pass side. Ended up being a bent spindle. A pic so you will believe that it is possible to bend a spindle.

it takes a hard hit to bend those spindles! sometimes its not even visible to the eyes that their slightly bent. glad to see its coming back together

Got it aligned again. I had them set the caster at 6.4 since it was rubbing the fenders and I didn't think of the fenders sagging without a bumper. So i go to drive and the wheels rub bad on the back side of the wells. I want to put my caster back at 7 haha
