I hear a "brrrrr" sound coming out from my car, it sounds like im not running with an exhaust. Basically it sounds like its coming from inside the engine bay. There is no boost leak it seems like because my turbo guage is connected to a part which is not leaking... i believe the exhaust manifold flange is not tight with the turbo, cuz it sounds like the sound is comin from there and it smells like exhaust under my hood. The other thing, the car runs and everything, but the turbo is not boosting since the exhaust is not turning the turbine....rite? OH yeah i think i see a small gap between the two pipes too

just checking to see if this sounds plauseable. I am going to pick up a 300zx twin turbo gasket for this , is it the right one ? and does anyone know the part #?

BTW....how do i go about fixing it ? my friend says i needa take out the manifold, turbo , and oil lines for the turbo . b/c the bolts are on the bottom side?

can anyone give me info on how to repair the prob...or if this is the actual problem....thanks

im having the same issue right now, i can feel the air coming out where the manifold and turbo connect

initially i thought i blew the gasket, however the bolts are just loose, let your engine cool down and feel you bolts to see if they are loose, the only prob is that there is a clip that is supposed to keep the bolts from spinning, which makes tighning them harder if the braket is inop.

if you blew the gasket you will need to take the mani and turbo off, pain in the a$$ i believe a 91 nissan sentra sr20 gasket will fit the mani and heavythrottle sells the turbo-manifold gasket
