<snip>
So this post is legit, My fuel gauge says 1/2 a tank but it is really empty, any ideas how to fix it? I will probably figure it out.

replace the fuel tank float. either that or try spraying some wd40 on the float.
but for the trouble of dropping the tank, i'd just get a new float and be done with it.

Huh
In the future, please make sure your "post subject" is pertinent to what you have typed in the body of the message. Posts like "attn readers" and "please read" or "help me now" are frowned upon by people like myself, and mods alike (or so I believe).
Use some common sense when posting, and you are guaranteed to not be on the black list of mods. That said, welcome to zilvia.

I edited out the message he wanted to convey to everyone (basically that he thought he'd been treated unfairly). I'll edit the post to reflect the true topic.

Dood, don't edit other people's posts. . . Even in this case, it's just uncool. It makes subsequent threads stop making sense, and seems to curtail the freeflow if ideas (however good or bad they may be).

They sure are. Heck, I invite you to join my forum just so I get the pleasure of banning you!

Ok, I'll give this thread one last chance. Keep it on topic so the original poster can get his questions answers.
Charlie: you kill me! :D

I am the origional poster and you sure aren't helping much. Let's talk about roast beef, that might be more help. Actually, the gauge was correct all along, the regulator broke and stopped fuel flow, but the benevelont mr-miss-stop-please probably already knew that. CENSOR ME NAZI B**CH!!!!

I'll post something of impoartance...
Go the the rear and pull out the pump/float assembly. Now have someone move the float up and down and check your gauge. If the guage moves up and down correctly the float may be a bit bent, just fix that. If it does not it is either your gauge or your sender. Did you put on white faced gauges? Because if you did and moved that needle it could be off.
Hope that helps more then the other twits.

Why do posts get edited, was there swearing or some foul message? What needed to be censored out?? What am I missing?

No foul language. ....just stated observations. No freedom of expression allowed here.
On topic...
I once had a BMW 325e. The gas guage read incorrectly and I thought it was the float. It turned out to be a big dent in the bottom of the tank. That threw the accuracy off.

I think that it was done in this case to avoid a large argument on a thread that would have surely taken it off topic... I don't see it as much of a power trip, Ive seen people on other forums get a lot worse treatment for some of the stuff that goes on on zilvia... Prevention of a flame war over nothing was the name of this game.

People should just shut the hell up about being censored. If people aren't assholes, mods won't have to delete or edit posts. Who cares if you can't read through the flow of the thread. There was an asshole, and it's been taken care of.

I could honestly care less what people think of me. Call me a Nazi mod, call me an asshole (which i have never denied), say i'm on a power trip. I don't care. Moderation of users is a thankless job, and most of the time, the people who complain are those moderated, and the reason that they're being moderated is because they're doing something wrong. I don't care if you're 15 or 55, I'll moderate you just the same. I've learned long ago that age is by no means a determining factor in maturity. I'm frequently disappointed by the fact that I have to correct users that are older than I am, and should be more mature... should be setting the example..
Regardless, you are free to think of me as you like. Your opinion of me will not change how I act.
If you don't like it here, go somewhere else! :D
Just don't be too surprised if you're moderated somewhere else for doing the same crap you did here...
