Well since we started talking about old games in the FORZA 3 thread, I would like to know some of your guys thoughts on the best video games of all time. I don't have a top 10, but I'm sure some of you can remember more than others.

NES- super mario brothers, batman, bigfoot ( i think it was a monster truck game), and some caveman olympic game i don't quite remember

superNES- zelda, street fighter 2, donkey kong, mario kart, starfox

Sega Genesis- Sonic, Alladin, road rash

N64- mario64, goldeneye, perfect dark, mario kart64, starfox64

xbox- forza 1. fable, call of duty

ps2- gran turismo!

there are more, I just can't think of right now...

I would also like to see some screen shots of some of these games if you guys can.

I wanna see this thing turn into..."remember on level x when you had to do this!" lol....

ocarina of time was the best game on n64...I would put goldeneye close 2nd because of the epicness of ocarina. Geeze that was such a fun game! maybe best game of all time for me!

i remember the excitement I had when link pulled the sword out of the stone! my other brothers were screaming it was soo exciting! haha.

starwars for n64. the one with the first mission where you flew a plane that tied up the large machine things....don't remember the name. bringing back some memories!

PC- DOOM!!!!! first game I remember ever playing on pc that wasn't snake. lol.

It was one of the hardest games ever. It was so hard. I don't think I beat it more then a couple times. And by beat it I mean just like you, killed Jason and it started over.

if you plan on playing the new star oceans, i really recommend avoiding "till the end of time." there's nothing particularly wrong with the gameplay, but there is a ridiculously stupid plot twist around the 4/5 mark that just completely ruins the entire game (along with the series, for alot of people).

for final fantasy series, 6 is still the best, IMO.

it's absolutely criminal to put bioshock and deus exs higher than system shock 1/2, which basically spawned the FPS-with-RPG-stats-game-with-story-based-on-discs-you-pick-up-and-listen-to genre.

baldur's gate hell yes. if you've played any bioware game you've already played this game. this is basically the original version of knights of the old republic, mass effect, dragon age, jade empire, etc.

x-wing (and subsequently, tie fighter, x vs tie, alliance). defined space sims for years. surprised wing commander isn't on here.

freespace 2. if they are going to mention x-wing, they need to put freespace 2 on there. the pinnacle of space sims, unfortunately released just as people stopped playing them entirely. the whole genre died right then and there.

yessir, and it's absolutely 100% the best reason to own a ps3, even over uncharted and mgs4, etc. punishingly hard and ridiculously rewarding. it's very much a new 'old-school' game in that sense.

So many new PS3 games still in development makes it pretty hard to pick one so early.

PS1: MGS by far is the best PS1 game with maybe Castlevania Symphony of the night a close second.
