Of course they didn't help him... They don't tell him anything about how to get 450hp out of the engine for about $10 (little money) :D.

HAHAHA good point. Perhaps he hasn't heard of the racing adage: fast, cheap, reliable. Pick 2.

woah dood. Puncutaion. I have no idea what you're talking about.
Anyhow, for 1/4 mile races, a 240sx is generally a bad choice. It is much cheaper to get a muscle car where you want it.
You can drift anything, saying the VG is good or bad for it is pretty dumb. It effects the weight balance and will effect the car's handling. Doesn't make it undriftable, just makes it different.

You better swap a SR or your thread will probably be locked, just look at the RB25DET thread. Coincidence or not, you'll find a lot of VG and RB threads locked. Maybe the mods like to keep the 240 "pure". You're better off asking this at FA or NICO. :p

Creepy, some guy is in Nevada too. . . :P
Granted, a lot of the older members can be assholes. Flaming and thread locking is out of control because it's unfortunately the moderators and somewhat established members doing it. See a few too many of the same question, or see a question which doesn't look well thought out and automatically backlash. It isn't very nice :P
On the flipside, most questions about other motors are really poorly posted. Generally too broad and too vague from people who often don't have the money or skill to pull it of, but are considering it for the sake of being different. I'm not saying that's the case here, but I've been around a while and see it often.
Now, back on topic :)
The VG is not a common motor to slap into a 240sx, so information will be tougher to come across. It is a good motor, and can be made pretty damn powerful. However, 450hp for "little money" is unrealistic with most any motor. You will find more information for VG modifications on a specific Z forum than a primarily 240sx forum (don't let the 'z' in "zilvia" fool you, we don't so z's too often :) ).

I'm not saying it's wrong to lock those threads. What do I care. I was bored. lol
