Ive used this company twice. Once to ship an S14 to Kansas and once to ship a Tacoma to New Orleans.
They are very reputable, safe and reasonable. They will provide you with a quote in like an hour. They can provide quote for enclosed or open trailer, and the absolute BEST part about their service - Door-to-Door. No depot or bullshit. The car doesnt leave the trailer until it reaches the destination. One of the biggest fears and horror stories is the "depot" workers joyriding and stealing shit.
These guys will load the car in front of you, walk through an inspection, take a deposit (of which i collected from the buyer up front) and then drive that bitch out there.
When it arrives, the recipient walks through an inspection (with a copy of YOUR report) and pays the driver the ballance due.

It was apx $700 to ship in both cases, and worth every dime in my opinion.
Gas, hotel, airfare, my time, etc . . . wasnt worth it to save a few hundred.

i live in Saint Louis, which is maybe half an hour away. buy me a plane ticket and i'll drive your car back for $200 plus gas. i've made the drive before.
i'll even do an oil change before and after (at your expense)

^ do they insure the cargo?
Since Cascade is a broker, they simply book and assign shipping companies to perform the work. They always assign an insured tranport/carrier, and all claims for damage (if any) are filed with the transport/carrier directly to be processed through their insurance.
Would be one thing to ever read about damage, loss and huge claims by any of their customers, but all the feedback ive seen has been great (including my own).
But i guess its common that the "insurance" is simply provided by the carrier in any case.
They have the info posted in the "Terms" section on the website.
