Residue? i gotcha man haha

It sounds like oil that is only getting burnt when the oil warms up and becomes less viscou (thins out when it heats up).

I wouldn't say it just kinda happens.
I know i don't have a blown headgasket.
I know the turbo seals are good, just think it might be the oil as buddy said.

Change the oil and see if it still happens....give me an update.

Wheres the smoke coming from?

Bone stock s13 who knows what condition half of those gaskets are in.
You may have a small oil leak dripping on a hot component causing it to smoke.
Next time it's warmed up check your engine bay. Increase your oil psi by raising/holding the throttle and look around.

ok if u have smoke at operating temp, it is bc your oil control rings are prob cloged and the compression rings are being over run with oil and excaping into your combustion chamber and being burnt there. so this means u will prob have to change your rings out. to know for sure do a comp test wet and dry, also do a leak down test just to make sure, that should help alot.. good luck

change to 20w50 problem solved. i have always run this on all my motors stock and built turbo or n/a. I had a similar problem and then my car stopped starting. my ecu temp sensor went out and i replaced that and it started no problem and stopped smoking at take off. I can elaborate more if needed. just pm me.
