Name that brass pipe!!!

what is that brass (or brass colored) pipe between the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold back by the fire wall behind the motor ??? its about 1/2" to 3/4" in dia

what does it do and what would happen it were to take it off and seal up where it connects???

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) tube? Try a search of the forum and see what it tells you. I'm only guessing that that's what you're talking about...

I had a brass pipe back in the '70's. It was called a "bong".:D
