Looking to buy something fun and in good working order. It won’t be my daily driver but I will drive it when the weather is nice, or when I want to stomp some of the sad cars that run around out here.

I have about 10k cash in hand, I say about because if it’s worth it I might spend a little more.

I'm willing to go just about anywhere in the good ole USA.
As you can see I reside in AZ, So if your car can't make the trip, don’t bother.

Would like to get something by mid Jan (that’s when I have time off from work), getting time off during Dec. is almost impossible.

Something interesting about AZ emission standards, if the check engine light is on it fails. So if its something that can be fixed please let me know about that issue early, otherwise don’t bother.
If you don’t have title in hand, how are you selling the car? LoL

Thanks in advance

If your looking for a kouki, they were only made in 97-98. Just a heads up and good luck finding a nice one. There are a few good deals going on in the for sale section.

Holy crap, 9500 for a mostly stock 97 model? You can buy an E30 or E36 M3 for that much. Or an S2000.

Here's some advice for you:

Buy a stellar condition 95 (obd1) for 4000 and then buy the kouki front end and taillights (around 1500 after parts and paint). Now you have plenty left over for aftermarket stuff.

Don't buy something thats already turboed guy. Thats like the dumbest thing you can do. Do what that guy up top said, Buy an SE,

S14 SE - $3000
Kouki front end - $1000
Sideskirts and rear lights - $500
S14 SR - $2500
Exhaust and front mount - $500
Coils-$1000
Wheels - $1000
Fuel pump, AFC2, z32, - $500

AND YOU WIN!!!!!!

This way you get the rep because you built your shit and not someone else.

Master mechanic to do an Sr swap ???
Nothing up there requires a master meachnic.....
Take off, bolt back in....

Boosting a 150k motor is jack shit, odds are you have bad compression on one of those cylinders. Get an s14 sr through it in. It is literally take out put in new motor....100 threads are here how to do everything i just mentioned. Thats what stickies are for. I know a guy like you, who bought "someone's project" that he said had an ACT Clutch and lightweight Flywheel, A valve job, Port and polish head, hks cams, fuel pump, cometic headgastket and arp head studs..... He said "it just needs to be tuned" yea fucking right....Build your shit and know what in there.
