If it's the HKS turbo, please show a picture of the HKS badge on the turbo.
It is worth a lot more if it is the HKS turbo instead of the Garrett 2871R.

the turbo says garrett on it...pretty obvious. and hks doesnt even make a gt2871. they have the 2835. and it doesnt even have the same specs as he listed above...so im gunna go ahead and guess that its a.....garrett

You obviously have no idea what I am talking about then.
HKS "makes" the GT-RS. GT-RS is basically Garrett 2871R with HKS center cartridge. Wheel and housing-wise, it's the same as a Garrett 2871R. The housing and wheels are all supplied by Garrett Japan.
As such, the original post should not state "HKSGT2871R" when in reality it is ONLY A GARRETT 2871R and not the equivilant HKS unit.
That is my point. I am not looking to buy the turbo, just clarifying it for potential buyers.
It says Garrett.

Yes, read my above post for the reference.
Some people cannot differentiate between a HKS GT-RS (GT-RS SPORTS TURBINE KIT (http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/turbo/turbinekit/ac_gtrs/ac_gtrs.html)) and a Garrett 2871R (TurboByGarrett.com - Catalog (http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/GT28/GT2871R_472560_15.htm)), and the original post title suggest a HKS turbo when in reality it is not.

P.S. Garrett webpage is not working too well, that page does not show the picture of the turbo but the specs are identical to the HKS unit.

huh i guess i learned something new. so then how do you tell the difference betweek the hks and the garrett because looking at the pics, they both look the same. i guess they do have different specs though. and looking at them, this looks like it actually is the hks gt-rs.

No, the turbo is the same, except the CHRA is HKS' own design. Everything else wheel/housing-wise is pretty much the same.
The HKS version has HKS badging on the outside. HKS USA GT Sport Turbo Upgrade (http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=1768) the picture is not of the actual turbo but the compressor housing will have a HKS badge with part #.
Since Garrett has the same equivilant unit for less, most just buy the Garrett version. But it is important to note and not mislead.

you can tell right off the bat it isnt a "hks" one...
the GTRS uses the s15 style compressor housing, no clocking adapters or anything needed.
regardless though this is still a good price for a 2871r w/ the adapters

That's not accurate.
HKS GT-RS still uses an adapter kit for install on a S13.
S14 GT-RS is cheaper than S13 units and are direct drop-in, just like 2871 into S14/15 SR.
