Hey all Yeah I did a search.

I found a 93 S13 LDS for 250$$ (Is that over priced?)
I was wondering how hard it would be to convert this over and put it in my 95 240sx.??? Worth the $$ to do it??

Is the 300zx with pre 95 J30 a direct drop in?

And how do I tell if its the right one?

Edit: What year 300zx did you get it from? and If I find out about the S13 one I can pick it up befor 5pm and start workin on it.

its out of a z32 na 300zx,, so any of those will work as long as its not turbo. Its a direct bolt up with pre 95 j30 axles.. look for 93 to b safe.. thats what i have.. you have to bang a little bit on metal part of the axles so they dont' rub,, but thats it.. slides right in other than that.

red , you possibly could bolt that in . the only thing is you would have to use the front mount bolts from the S13 as the S14 front mount bolts are bushed. you also would want to put on your S14 differential back cover on the S13 diff. It should work though . the reason most people cannot answer your question is S13 VLSD's are pretty rare. They came in tow package option cars (which were a dealer option) and Hicas cars and some LE's . The S14 VLSD came in SE's .I would definitely make sure thats a S13 VLSD before buying it. I have seen quite a few junkyards tell people they had one and it turn out its a open differential.

After many (More) hrs searching. I came up with a few sites that help quite a bit

http://www.240sx.org/links/installs/lsd2/index.htm
http://www.240sx.org/links/installs/lsd/lsd.htm
http://www.cautioncreativity.com/briand/lsd.htm

(For a driveshaft & Lots of Extras) http://www.enjukuracing.com
(For a driveshaft & Lots of Extras) http://www.car-part.com
(For a driveshaft & Lots of Extras) http://www.urgpartsearch.com

I'm lookin at the Infiniti J30 diff. All of them were LSD. but had a 3.92 ratio I guess. Stock is 4.083 ratio i'm guessing the 0.163 will not matter that much. The only problem with the J30 Diff is it is 3/4 inch extra length. So you might need the ABS drive shaft.

All this info was taken off these sites. :D

I found a 300zx N/A LSD but where did you find the LSD output shafts for a 95-96 240sx? Is it cheeper to buy them online or just go to a nissan dealer?
