So I've had my 240 for a week and bought it knowing the lifters made some noise. Nothing too annoying and from what I've found from searching, they don't seem to be a "blow your engine" type of problem, but anyway. The car had been sitting for about a year and a half when I bought it, so I figured after an oil change and some engine treatment they might settle in and quiet down. (wish my upstairs neighors would do the same thing) But they haven't, they start clicking around 2250 rpm, and sometimes stop around 4k. I know it does it in the first 4 gears, but I've only been driving it to work and back since the tags aren't legal, so I don't know if it does it in 5th. Anyway, my question is what is involved in quieting them down/replacing them and what kind of cost is involved? Thanks in advance for any help.
