the shifter bushings on my 95 are hella worn out (even though it has 70k miles). there is like no resistance going from neutral to the 1-2 side, and this makes 2-3 upshifts kind of iffy. I need to change the tranny oil and rear end oil anyways, and would like to do this at the same time. I'm really looking to go the cheap route, like just doing the bushings, but i cant even find out how much they cost. or im also thinking of just swapping with a short shifter if theres not too much of a price difference for a cheaper or used oneone (are they worth looking into? the 90-150 ones?), or if i end up waiting until i can spend the money
what is the best solution for this? where do i find the bushings, how much do they cost, and all that good stuff?

the only side to side resistance is from the springs in the shifter assembly. i don't even know where you would get them separately. if you don't have the cash for a nice B&M shifter, get the OBX to tighten things up.

shifter bushing can be ordered at any nissan dealer..its like 1.76 or so...this is the one that goes way down on the bottom of the shifter assembly...

That bushing doesn't do what he's talking about. That's just a piece of plastic that connects between the metal end of the shifter and the metal shift fork. The slop he's encountering is due to something else (like dead recentering springs).

Easy fix: Buy a B&M, getting that thing was like going back in time and learning to masturb... Uhh, it felt good and the sloppiness was all gone.

Best "fealing" upgrade I've done on my car by far.
