The engine is good and the seats too, but i don't know about the rest of the car. if anyone else has seen the 240sx in this magazine. please reply. its on page 63.

I didnt see this magazine, nor do I care all that much about car audio. but I can gaurentee that I have seen worse. I went with a friend to the US autosound competition in KC last year and saw this unholy bastardization of a 240:

thats right, it had drawers. and there were some kind of space balls lookin things inside where the backseats should be.

I went up to give the owner an earfull of my opinions on how not to cut up a perfectly good 240, but it was a hot chick, and I couldnt bring myself to complain.:(

oh well, thought I would share

you may not like what was done to the car, but at least respect the immense amount of work that went into the install. i bet more time went into that install than any(or at least most) of us have spent on our car.

umm, the "space ball" looking things are actually the sub enclosures

i should respect something just cause it took a lot of money and/or work? i dont follow that logic. it looks retarded, and makes the car slow and sloppy. i dont respect that at all, no matter how much "hard work" went into making it look like ***.

That white 240SX is the SH!T! Very well executed. Not everyone wants to (or needs to) go fast. I'd actually prefer that most people don't drive ballistic cars.

I have to agree... that white 240 is actually lookin' pretty... cool? :o I've never seen drawers like that! I wouldn't necessarily drive it (unless it also has LSD, suspension and some more power to push those speakers/amps/drawers) but I am becoming more and more accepting of stuff like that. Kudos to the chick who put work into it! ... (To the hot chick owner... if you ever come across this message, drop me an email. :p heh heh heh)

Is that a Midget trying to get in the right rear wheel well with the baseball cap turned backwards?

The car is nasty...

i know that everyone doesnt think the same way, and not everyone cares about driving fast/well/whatever. that being said, the car is still ugly. people can do what they want to their cars, i really dont care. but my opinion still stands that its ugly.

BTW, which car is everyone talking about. i didnt see the car that this thread was created about, so i have no opinions on it. i was talking about the one that was pictured be rennen.

is that car in the magazine the same as the one I posted? because the one I saw also had a SR20DET that was chrome polished and all accessories and battery and stuff were removed from the engine bay, looked real clean. But in the end none of it mattered, because they weighed the damn thing down with thousands of pounds of audio equip and freakin drawers coming out the side, Im sure its faster than my stock KA:rolleyes:

what i jeant was, you may not like the equipment used, or how it was done, but not every one looks at the 240 as a great potential street/track/daily driver. still, that is one heck of an install, and it must sound incredible.

by showing respect for the car, i meant it isnt another wanna be car, with altezzas and a generic muffler who suddely thinks he is king of the roads..

i know the tail lights are ugly. but some one was creative enough to come up with the ideas for that install

basically, it may not be youre thing, but respect it for what it is. by you saying something like look at the extra weight, is like an audiophile looking at a top fuel dragster and asking where is the radio, just stop being so narrowminded

i must ask how that car is sloppy? id say that car is clean and well executed

i meant it would drive sloppy. and granted it took a lot of time, effort, hard work, etc. im not denying that. a lot was put into it and thats apparant. its just not my thing. my main point was that its UGLY, an opinion. i personally dont like how it looks, or how it was executed (drawers, ball things, etc.). i am very far from narrowminded. i only expressed my feelings towards it, which happened to be opposite of everyone elses, and now im narrowminded? you dont know me, so please dont make assumptions. i dont like the car, you do. thats what it boils down to. let it go.

i didnt mean it as being narrow minded ( which i said, i know)
but it sounded as like just because it wasnt fast in the 1/4 or a auto-x car, it sucked.

my best anolgy is this:

i see a mustang, its a built na, its pulling low 10's in the 1/4. thats not my thing, i would rather see a ka with a turbo pull a low 10.

my focus is a great handeling fast car, as is most the rest of us, but i spent 2 years competing in usac and iasca, so i respect well done installs

i didnt mean narrowminded, as implying some mullet rocking, bondo-ed up camaro driving fool.
any ways, i hope you can make some sense out of what i was saying, casue i sure as heck dont
