Hi guys.

I am building my SR20DET head, with Tomei solid lifters and 270 deg cams, and i am not sure how to choose the springs to fit.

I am planing to go with SuperTech double valve springs, as i heard good things about them, and they are well priced, over the TOMEI Type B anyway.

I dont plan to go over 8500RPM probably.

I dont want to loose anymore rockers, so i am concerned with the spring stiffness, and iam not sure how to choose , as supertech have a few options.

I am sure that TOMEI have taken breaking rockers under consideration desining there springs, so i'd like to compare the Supertech with them.

SuperTech state seat pressure at 40.5mm - as 116lbs or 106lbs or 95lbs.
Not sure what that means, and how to compare this to the TOMEI springs.

On the Supertech site, under inventory you can find there springs data:
http://www.supertechperformance.com/ (http://www.supertechperformance.com/)

Here you can see the only data i found on the Tomei springs:
http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003web-ca...lvespring.html (http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003web-catalogue/e095_valvespring.html)

Can anyone help or recomand on the subject ?

Also if you are using any of these, can you comment on reliability issues with the head setup.

Thanks,
Dany.

Thanks,
Dany. it works like valve spring seat pressuer is how much presseur the spring has when the valve is closed so if your runnig higher boost id run the stornger spring but the brian crower springs are good lot of pros run them and as far as rockers braking thats a new one one me the stock ones seam to be stong
