I know that both front and rear knuckles are pressed into the ball joints and mine and currently separated. So is there a way that I can do this myself or do I need a shop to press these back in for me? Thanks.

NO.
The ball joint is pressd into the LCA and further secured with a snap ring.
the knuckle is attached to the ball joint via a nut and a cotter pin.

So am I just mixing the two together then? I though the knuckle was also pressed onto the ball joint.

Think of the ball joint as a tapered bolt. When you torque the nut on the ball joint, which slides into the knuckle it "presses" the knuckle on to the ball joint. The ball joint then gets a cotter pin slide through and bent around to prevent the nut from backing off. Get it? Yes you can do it yourself.

it's usually a difficult to get the balljoint and knuckle to separate
guessing that's what you mean
hit the knuckle with a BFH and they'll come appart
soak it in lubricant for a bit if it's being stubborn
a balljoint remover (cheap at Harbor Freight or rent at Autozone) would also work
