Vehicle:1992 240, originally with KA24DE
Engine(currently): s14 sr20det w/greddy intake manifold fitted with s13 sr20det ThottleBody
My concern is about the Thottle cable and ThrottleBody.... I had to make my own bracket for the cable mount and when i fasten down the cable furthest from throttle body the throttle pulley still seems to hit the end of cables adjustable thread end?? At that point 100% throttle has not been reached. will a s14 TB pulley solve my issue? or do i need one of those Ricer, aftermarket, smaller throttle pulleys? Or possibly when doing a sr swap i need a sr throttle cable too? can i get this KA cable to work without a big hack job?
thanks

Why don't you just buy a s14 throttle body? I've tried a s13 sr TB on a s14 intake manifold and the throttle cable just won't work.
If you need a s14 TB, I have one but it is missing the pulley. A brand new pulley is about 20-25 dollars. Let me know if you want it. I think it has the TPS on it too.

take a picture of what you trying to say, im tired so i am confused as shit right now... but i know alot of people have had to make there own throttle cable brackets for the greddy manifolds...
p.s. the sr20det throttle cable is to short for the swap, if you think about it the cable is on the same side as the throttle body(rhd) so its about 3-4 feet to short lol...

Well i had the option for either TB at one point but i went for the larger one since we were planning to squeeze extra hp out of this engine..... So are you saying this isnt a combination that ever really worked well?

Well I actually tried it before and one problem I ran into is that the s13 butterfly shaft is a larger diameter than the s14 pulley. So physically I couldn't get it to work.
I ended up buying a s14 NA throttle body which is 60mm and that is the same diameter as the s13.

Ceepo: its getting a little late but if i have time to go back to the shop ill post a pic, but try to imagine the throttle cable mounted in the best position right now on the manifold and ideal for best travel for the given combination i have. now when i pull the throttle pulley back on the TB with my finger (as in opening the throttle plate) the pulley hits the throttle cables adjustable end (as in that threaded end of cable that you adjust with two nuts on bracket that bolts to intake mani.)....

could you take a dremel tool and cut a small section off, the threaded part off?

I am going to see if thats possible, i was thinking the same thing. i was just afraid of this whole setup not working at the end and not being able to use the cable for the right TB..
thanks for the input...
