So today is my birthday. I celebrated sunday with some buds and some pizza and beer and wings and so on.

That was great. I never want anything for my birthday than to have all my friends hang out at my place and have a good time

This morning I woke up at 11 and looked outside. They were all washing and waxing and detailing my car, inside and out.

I went to have a shower and came back outside.

They handed me my birthday card and i read it. I looked in the car, it was cleaned, polished and full of gas. thanked everyone and they were all looking at me waiting for something. I was like... "OK...so..."

my friend Nigel goes "so, rims are nice and shiny eh?"

I look at the rims and notice they are no longer wearing bald radial TA''s, but brand spankin new Dunlop SP sport A2 tires! The ones I was going to go and buy next month

I almost crapped myself! Thats like almost a 500 dollar set of tires!! (they stole the car and took it to get new tires while I slept)

I have the best friends in the world!!

REVIEW:

on first impressions, I didnt realize how much the tires could improve the ride of the car. No more rattling and road noise, and no more twitch in the steering wheel over 100 kmh

I proceeded to my favorite off ramp and tore down it nearly 100 miles an hour with no tire squeal and no fuss. I tried them out in a parking lot too.

The old bald radial TA's were sufficient to provide lots of grip too, I think the cars attitude and suspension make the world of difference as well, but I couldnt make even those tires loose it, so imagine the grip i have with nice new ones!

The steering is way more precise, response is unbelieveable and they conjure up a huge amount of grip! In fact all day, I couldnt get so much of a squeal out of them and I was going plenty faster than I would have liked to.

All in all, a very impressive tire, they hook up well off the line, seem very very grippy and offer precise response and no road noise

I cant wait to try them in the rain.

Damm, now those are some good friends!! And happy birthday :D

I have the same tires on my car, I bought the front ones a year ago and now have all four. Yes I rode around for a year with A2 Sport up front and Dunlop D65 H Touring in back... it was most definitely twitchy (no name pun intended :)) especially in the rain, which the Sport A2s were actually better in than the H Touring. I haven't pushed a whole lot yet, but they seem quite nice, if not as much of an improvement as upgrading from bald all-seasons :)

Also those things last one hell of a long time! I have put 25k on the older pair (granted mostly boring highway miles), and they are hardly more than halfway done.
