Answer to your Question: NO

Get a full Standalone ECU, and a proper tune! You'll end up blowing something up if you keep farting around with your current setup.

Start off with either PowerFC, if your baller then go with AEM, or HKS V-Pro.

Tuning is everything!

have you ever seen daughter boards used with a rom tune?
something like as follows with a rom tune (on dyno)

AUTODREAM || S14 Zenki Daughter board || jdm and drift technology calgary alberta (http://www.403drift.com/product.asp?ID=666)

opinions?

thanks for the help

I know the guys down at Autodream very well, you can go with daughter board setup but I honestly don't like going that route. Always prefer a standalone ecu, gives you room to grow in the future. Ask Oliver or Nguyen at Autodream they will most likely gear you towards a PowerFC or something similar... They also have an in house Dyno; just give them a call...

I'm picky about my Tune so I went the HKS V-Pro route, used to have PowerFC installed in my car, but ended up having some issues everytime the weather changes especially the weather in Calgary when we get Chinooks... The HKS F-Con V-Pro along with HKS AFK will automatically adjust the timing map according to A/F and Knock, end result is that your car will drive better regardless. Each run on the Dyno i was getting better dyno results; amazing ECU but just a little on the expensive side and only a legit HKS Pro Dealer can flash/tune the ECU. Reg Reimer is well known in Calgary for tuning also the only HKS Pro Dealer in Alberta; I believe there are only 3 in Canada. If you want your car tuned by a pro he's your guy! Check out RCTS
