Hi! im not a nissan expert but i got this 1994 Nissan Pick-up turck with an original k24 motor and a manuel tranny.
My question:
Does the SR20 (S14) fit bolt on , on the original k24 tranny?
The reason why i am asking this is that i would like to keep my tranny for the 4 wheel drive ;).
thanks to whom can answer my question! :l101:

You just need to change the bell housing. Internally its the same. So yes/kinda... There are threads that talk about how to do this.

I was looking at some pictures of SR trannies and mine, theres like to bedhousing to the tranny, theres the front part that covers the clutch and that hooks on to the engine, and theres the part where the shifter is.. Im thinking that maybe i could just instal the front part, is that what you are saying??

The 4WD model has a different manual gearbox, but the bellhousing should just swap over, yes.

that would be insane --- I had a supercharged frontier
they are nice -- I could only imagine what an sr20 powered hardbody would be -- that is cool...

*Should*
I've never torn one down. I've seen a few SRs in trucks, but they were always 2WD.
Compare a 4WD unit to the 2WD, if the bellhousing is the same between the two then I don't see why it wouldn't work.
