I would have taken it to the shop and told them to take it off.
They should fix their mistake.

I love the fact that he says not to buy a VW because of this. That is hilarious.

I don't what it is about the damn Cavalier steering but after a 24 pack that damn wheel won't stay straight.
Should that be my fault?
It's a manufacturing problem.

cutting the wheels would've been the last option for me lol couldn't he have just welded something on the lug to take it out? wtf

wow, that has to be one of the dumbest thing I've seen. He probably lacked patience and didn't want to take it to a shop that can actually get it off for him.
Either way...that is a :wtf: moment lol

Once I saw a guy drift into a wall and completely ruin his wheel. And fender, and car.
Then he posted it on the internet.

Sounds like they suck at welding.
Anyways, all he had to do was hammer a bit inside there and it would have come out.
Five minute job max; with three of those minutes spent looking for the tools.

i just cant believe how ppl like to literally go the longer route and ruin something expensive for nothing!
this is why he is a honda-tech....once again fwd fails and so do ghetto-riggin-half-ass-job-newbs-that-call-themselves-mechanics.

Haven't seen the pics yet since I'm at work but he sounds like a friend of mine who has a civic which had a smashed rear quarter so he took gallons of bondo and slapped it on over the damage and sanded it down.... looks retarded and he never painted over it so it'll start chipping I'm sure

what a tool. i dont understand why his first response was to grab the saw? he could've drilled out the head of the lug or at least dremeled it out. or just pulled the other lugs out and let all the weight rest on that one lug so it'd snap. then it'd be an easy task to easy out the one stud and not hafta ruin a perfectly good (even if its cheap) wheel.
!Zar!
11-26-2009, 09:50 PM
He didn't even need to drill the lug out. Just hammer a larger bit in there and you're set.
Whatever, just a visual for stupid decisions that people make similar to that every day.

i think he said he had some people come over to try to weld something on but nothing was sticking?
he also said never buy a vw. and that its not because hes a fuckstick that needs to go back in time and kill his parents to make it as though he was never born so he can be off the streets, he prolly tried to solder it. lol
I've had that happen twice on a set of wheels I have....I torched it out both times.

All you need is a a hardened drill bit for metal. Only pure Ti is as hard as SS.
It was only a Titanium Nitride coated tap anyways. Unless mr fake rims spends money on rare exotic tools from Russia.
