15x7 +32 will it clear coilovers? and so i dont have to keep coming back and asking how exactly do i figure out what offset will clear. thanks

yeah they'll clear [most coilovers]
google for a wheel offset calculator
stock clears w/ 205/60 and 195/60 tires on a 15x6 +40
so if that clears, use that as a basis for calculations

well, i think it really depends on the coilovers... but in response to dousan's answer, it may or may not clear. lets assume that a 15x6 +40 wheel "barely clears", a 15x7 wheel will add half an inch to both sides of the wheel, one inch is about 26mm, meaning it will add 13mm to each side. this suggest, with the above assumptions, that a 15x7 wheel will require +27 offset to "barely clear". i think you may need a 5mm spacer to clear coilovers with a 15x7 +32, but i can't say for sure, since i don't have coilovers.

i hope that helps! perhaps someone on this board has that wheel spec with coilovers... good luck!

yeah some coilovers the front mount..er..the one that attaches to spindle..the size diffre

example:
apex is HUGE = more wheel/tire clearance
zeal is TINY = less clearance
jic/tein is about same
kei office is about same as jic/tein too.
those are th eonly ones i have been able to get my grubby hands on. few more but i forget how much room.
depends on coilover designs!

if it doesnt clear, im sure a small spacer would make it all goooood.

driftingpanda: you bastard. i think your right. i have +27 and it barely clears, but that's becaus ei have SO MUCH camber...doesnt that affect coilover/tire clearance? i havent had anythingmore then +27 though....

hmm yeah might need spacer. good catch dp.

dousan: haha.. i forgot that you had +27. anyway, changing camber via camber plates won't affect clearence. since the shock and the wheel will tilt in together, the clearence will stay the same. however, if increasing negative camber via slotted shocks and/or eccentric bolts, wheel/shock clearence will decrease.

oh by the way, don't forget that tire size will also affect clearence!
