trunk rattle

anybody else have a trunk that rattles badly? any ideas on how to fix it?

is it the spoiler or the trunk hitting?
the spoiler? which part? the part that joins to the trunk?
if it is that what u can do it take it off and insert a gasket and reseal it with silicon....
also if it is your trunk that rattles then put a rubber stopper in the corners and it should hold it...

My jack used to rattle b/c of the way it was sitting. &nbsp;I turned it over and it quit. &nbsp;Chech that unless you're positive it's the trunk.

In my s14 my rear section that goes over the speakers rattles. My s13 dosent rattle at all <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

One of my speaker grilles also rattles (but that's also a different rattle than the rear wing). &nbsp;I haven't been able to get it off to &quot;reseat&quot; it with some cushioniing. &nbsp;And, I know the other rattle is the wing, because if I hold the wing while closing the trunk, it doesn't do it. &nbsp;The last owner of my car beat the crap out of it apparently--dirt roads (the engine was COMPLETELY covered with a layer of dirt when I bought it). &nbsp; I'm surprised the car doesn't have more than those 2 rattles in it! <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

My trunk lifting mechanism (2 bars) that pushes the trunk up when you pop it open used to rattle a lot. I just threw a towel between the bars as I havnt had time to figure out why its doing that <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

okay the rattling may be able to be stopped if the car was never rear ended, mine was rear ended so i can't fix the rattling without some body work, and im not about to do that, well all you have to do is move the locking mechanism down there &nbsp;are 2 bolts on it, and just slide it down and the rattling should be alleviated if n e one needs help with this let me know, my car rattles like all ####, over any bumps of anything, but its my baby =0)

All these rattles. . . My old '89 s13 rattled a lot, so I sold it to my sister and got a rattle-free '92 :-)

I used to have a rattle on my S14 coming from the trunk area. Initially I thought it was the rear wing or that it was coming from the speaker area. &nbsp;After slowy taking the car apart to isolate the noise source I found out it was my trunk. &nbsp;I loosened the bolts on the trunk latch and moved it down as far as it would go and retightened. &nbsp;Voila! &nbsp;Noise is gone. &nbsp;Hope this helps!
